64-bit versions of Windows 10 and 8 include a “driver signature enforcement” feature. They’ll only load drivers that have been signed by Microsoft. To install less-than-official drivers, old unsigned drivers,When using older scanners, you’ll need to disable driver signature enforcement. There is a simple way to do this see video below.
When this is done you have to install the driver for the scanner through Computer management / Device manager / Imaging Devices and than the device that has the warning signal next to it / then click on update // browse my computer driver / search for the folder of VUESCAN and than click next
